Dr Tersia de Wilzem is a Consultant Occupational and Environmental Physician with over 20 years of industry experience. 

Dr de Wilzem graduated from medicine at University of Pretoria, South Africa in 1990. Prior to studying medicine, she gained her Bachelor of Education (Physical Education) followed on with her Masters in Sports Medicine, from the University of Pretoria.

Dr de Wilzem moved to Australia in 2002, initially working with Queensland Health at the Redland Hospital’s Emergency Department.  She then worked with Medibank Health Solutions, now known as Sonic Health Plus providing clinical occupational medical examinations.  In 2005, she commenced working in private practice in Logan and on the Gold Coast. She is currently working in Brisbane East and at the Gold Coast.

Dr de Wilzem holds membership with AMROA as an MRO. She is an approved IME Assessor for WorkCover QLD. 

Dr de Wilzem is an AFOEM Trainee Mentor/Supervisor.  She works with AFOEM Registrars providing advice to assist them through their training to become Occupational Physicians.
