Telehealth Consultation Update

It has been over a month since the introduction of our telehealth consultations. This service allows at-risk or regional examinees to be assessed by one of our Physicians in a timely matter whilst the examinee is in the safety of their home. During the Pandemic of COVID-19, we want to continue to provide our services to insurers, employers, legal representatives and private patients to ensure continuity of services and telehealth has allowed us to do this.

After the first couple weeks of ironing out some kinks, we now have 3 secure and reliable telehealth platform options depending on the examinee’s device. We allow a connection test the day before the assessment to test the network program and internet connection.

Who is suitable for a telehealth consultation?

A telehealth consultation would suit someone unable to attend a face to face assessment due to being in a regional location or at risk during COVID-19 Pandemic. They will be required to have access to the internet which has at least 8 Mbps download speed and a device which has access to a quality camera and microphone. Just like normal face to face appointment with a Doctor, the telehealth appointment needs to be completed in a private quiet room. The Doctor may require the examinee to complete some movement exercises which will require a space to stand and move around.
